MEMBERSHIP

Members receive weekly in person rehearsals under the musical direction of Kai Leung with piano accompaniment. Each voice section is supported by a Sectional Lead.

You also have free access to our members page with vocal warm ups by Kai, music learning resources, sectional practice tracks and videos.

MUSIC DISTRIBUTION


You choose how to receive your music. All printed copies are yours to keep at the end of each term, so you can mark them up, make notes, highlight, etc. We will not be collecting any of the printed music this year. 

 

  • Option 1: Digital (Free): 
    • You download the PDFs to print yourself and/or use on a tablet. 
    • The music PDFs will be available via the member link on our website before the fall season begins.
  • Option 2: Printed by OC ($25/term): 
    • We will print your sheet music copies and have them ready for you at our first rehearsal on Sept. 15th. 
    • Select this add-on option when you register online.

An Ancient Carol – The past can tell us about our future

This program includes A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten, with repertoire from the Renaissance to the modern day, such as In Dulci Jubilo, Lo How A Rose, In the Bleak Midwinter, and Love’s Pure Light. The choir will be supported by a harpist, oboe player and soprano soloist.

       • Tuesdays, Sept. 15 – Nov. 17, 7:30-9:00pm – ends at 9:15pm on Oct. 6, 13, Nov. 3

    Rehearsals at St. John’s United Church:

       • Tuesday, Nov. 24, 7:00-9:00pm (extended time)

       • Tuesday, Dec. 1, 7:30-9:00pm

       • Saturday, Dec. 5, 2:00-4:30pm (dress)

    Concert: Sunday, Dec. 6, 3:00pm, call 2:00pm

    Winter/Spring Term: Jan. 19 – Mar. 31, 2027

    Wander, Soul – You must lose your way

    In this collaborative program, we will work with poet Martin Gomes, who will also provide workshops for the choir. Our wide range of choral music will include In Remembrance, You Do Not Walk Alone, A Gaelic Blessing, Set me as a Seal, and Lead Kindly Light. A French Horn player will be our special guest artist.
